Dr Ruth Birkebaek Psychotherapist & Counsellor

Dr Ruth Birkebaek is a highly experienced psychotherapist offering counselling sessions online & face to face from her Kew, Richmond upon Thames counselling practice. She is a Medically trained Doctor and prior to her move to psychotherapy, she specialised in plastic surgery which gave her a deep insight into trauma, dissatisfaction, non-acceptance and its impact. Dr Ruth is a Certified Transactional Analyst – PTSTA, a Certified Integrative Psychotherapy trainer and supervisor (CIIPTS) and a UKCP registered psychotherapist.  She offers therapy for a wide variety of psychological problems from relationship issues to addiction.

Ruth Birkebaek also runs Training courses for psychotherapy practitioners. She is also a supervisor and member of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA), the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) and the International Integrative Psychotherapy Association (IIPA).
