Great River Race 2025 – 20th September 2025

Over 250 boats will race from Millwall, through central London to Ham, Richmond. Many will be in fancy dress, and raising funds for charities. Crews come from all over the UK and abroad, and many have personal interest stories, such as the RNLI which is entering a Ladies crew this year to mark their 200th anniversary.

The event is free to watch throughout London, and there is a party at the finish in Richmond (TW10 7RS) with food stalls, bar, and music.

The race begins in Millwall around 13:15, check the site for latest information. The fastest boats are expected to be at Richmond just over 2 hours later (with slower crews taking up to four hours).
