The Wild Mind Project
Free Wellbeing Programmes for Young People at risk of, or living with, mental ill-health
Feeling low, anxious, stressed or angry? Worrying about isolation, study/work, your appearance, your health or friendships? You are not alone.
Join us for a range of creative and fun nature based activities. Both art and nature can make a significant difference to your mental health. Our programme can help to release stress, alleviate symptoms of depression, build optimism and develop a sense of belonging.
The Wild Mind Project is a not-for-profit CIC that offers early intervention for young people living with, or susceptible to, stress, depression and anxiety. We have a programme funded by The National Lottery, that offers free places for 13-25 year-olds, to take part in a 5-weekly half-day programme at various locations in Richmond, Kingston or Hounslow Boroughs. Public Health England has given us the authorisation to run our outdoor programmes adhering to agreed Covid-19 safety protocols.
We use a combination of outdoor art therapy, designed to facilitate verbal and non-verbal communication, strengthen relationships and advance coping skills, plus nature activities and mindfulness, to help alleviate anxiety and symptoms of depression.
